Beekeeping is a fun and fascinating hobby.
Honey bees are great for the environment,
and help produce one third of the food we eat.
Getting your own beehive with your own bees
is not as difficult as you might think.
There are many people in the area willing to
help mentor you, as you learn about beekeeping.
Basic new beekeeping equipment, such as the boxes
to keep the bees in, a bee suit, and basic tools,
usually cost between $200 and $300, though used
equipment is often for sale for cheaper.
