SWARM REMOVAL INFOIf you notice a swarm of bees in your yard, the first thing to do is make sure you, your family, and your pets are safe. Honey bee swarms are generally not aggressive. They generally will not try to sting you unless you are attacking them. These are groups of bees looking for a new home. The swarm ball you see is a temporary spot they’ve picked while they send out scouts to look for a new home for them all. However, do not approach the swarm, and keep others away until a beekeeper can arrive to pick them up. If you have a swarm of bees needing removal, contact one of the following swarm-volunteer beekeepers from our club, listed by city. Feel free to call anyone on the list, in case the closest person isn’t available.
